Introduction

Hello,

My name is Armandie Joubert and I am currently a third year student at Vega School of Brand Leadership. I am studying a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Brand Communications specialising in Multimedia Design also known as Digital design. A Multimedia Designer is a creator in both the interactive (web design, UX design, application design) and motion (3D and 2D animation, motion graphics, SFX, video editing) industry fields.

The following blog represents an online portfolio which documents, captures, discusses and reflects on my core discipline craft development. During this year (2019) I will constantly be sharing my craft process, tasks and experience through the use of this platform.

Before I start sharing my creative work I would like to give you as the viewer of my blog a short description of who I am and my main focus points. Even though I am specialising in Multimedia, I absolutely love graphic design and illustration. The reason I chose multimedia is because this allows me to bring my work to life, to add movement and to take it to the next level. But apart from this I am extremely passionate about video, motion graphics and web development. If I had to choose between these three I would most probably say that I enjoy motion graphics the most.

I hope with this insight that you will have a better idea of who I am and the type of work I produce.

I would like to share one of my favourite quotes by African Proverb:
“If you think you are too small to make a difference, you haven’t spent the night with a mosquito.”

This quote motivates me in almost every aspect of my life. And I hope to make a difference in the world through the use of design, no matter how big or how small the impact.
